A dramatic designer cabochon of old school Howardite. Howardite is a rare, old-timey cutting material mined in the 60's, it's a silicified/opalized/agatized tuff from northern Nevada. Red,pink  and yellow in a wood grain pattern with translucent sections in between. A really nice colorful stone! It has a glossy high polish front and back and is professionally cut. Slightly beveled to facilitate setting, it will look terrific set in one of your designs or as a terrific addition to your collection. This stone measures 53x21 mm and is 4 mm thick the weight is 39 cts. Don't let this one get away! As always, Thanks for looking!
